Restoration of the historic Gundel Restaurant in Budapest, Hungary was carried out by Ronald S. Lauder as part of his efforts to recreate centers of Jewish life in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2004, Lauder sought to identify a joint-venture partner to invest in the long-term operation of this landmark building.
