| Glenn Williamson, FRICS, owner and managing director, brings over 30 years of experience in the financing, marketing and development of urban real estate projects in Emerging Markets ranging from neighborhoods along the Anacostia River in Washington, DC or the South Side of Chicago to the historic centers of St. Petersburg, Russia, Warsaw, Poland and Sofia, Bulgaria. He has assisted public-private development corporations, local property owners and major international investors with financial analysis, deal structuring and disposition of their properties, working in Russian, Polish and Bulgarian to complete office, mixed-use and hotel projects.
Williamson holds an MBA from the University of Chicago (1986) as well as a degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University (1983), where he currently holds the position of Assistant Professor and Faculty Director in the Masters of Professional Studies in Real Estate (MPRE) program. In 2015, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
Williamson formed Amber Real Estate LLC in 2002 to carry out projects he initiated while at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Warsaw. Based in Washington, DC, Amber has provided real estate financial advisory services to a wide range of clients including Heitman International, Ronald S. Lauder, Jewish Renaissance Foundation, Inc., TDA Capital Partners, Telekomunikacja Polska S.A., Anacostia Waterfront Corporation, DC Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development and the DC Department of Health.
